On October 17, in the early hours of the morning, the Guardia Civil found Enma, a 2-year-old girl who had been missing for seven hours in the province of Avila in Spain. The little girl was found asleep and curled up in the bush, protected by her dog “Kie”, who never left her side.
Enma disappeared on Monday afternoon when she was walking with his father. She was found on Tuesday at 2 a.m. after a seven-hour search by security forces and neighbors.
At 7:20 p.m. a call was received from the Castilla y León emergency service alerting them to the disappearance of the 2-year-old girl and Kie, a Podenco dog, while she was walking with her father in the mountains of the town of Gil García.

Immediately, a search and location device was activated, made up of the Mountain Intervention and Rescue Group (Greim) of the Guardia Civil and members of the Nature Protection Service (Seprona), according to europapress.
They heard “the growl of the dog of the young girl who accompanied him”, which allowed them to follow the trail and find Enma, who was curled up and asleep next to some brambles, bordered by Kie, her dog, who never left her side. The girl was four kilometers from where she disappeared.
Sergeant Jorge López, who took her in his arms, told Ávila Red:
“Enma was curled up, shivering and hugging her dog. She was calm and only had a few scratches.
Ricardo Salinas, a member of the civil protection group, told the Ical news agency:
“If the dog hadn’t been there, we wouldn’t have found her. »
But the fact is that they found it thanks to Kie who started barking with the first raindrops that fell in the night.
Officers provided medical attention. Enma’s condition, except for a few scratches on her body, was “good.”
Agents of the Judicial Police Unit of the Civil Guard of Avila have opened an investigation to clarify what happened. We don’t have any pictures of Kie, the heroic dog who never left Enma; the identity of the minor and her parents has been protected.
