Nothing prevents you from consuming it from time to time. But be aware that deli meats containing nitrite salts are considered by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as “certain carcinogens” since 2015 and fall into the category of group 1 carcinogens. In a report it issued in 2018, the IARC estimated that in France, 3,880 colorectal cancers were attributable to the consumption of cold cuts in 2015.
It is regularly shown that red meat consumed in excess increases the risk of developing heart disease and cancer, unlike white meats such as chicken or turkey.
Processed products, that is to say those in which the food industry has intervened to add elements, should be avoided as much as possible, in particular because they disrupt the intestinal microbiota, whose good balance is essential to our physical and mental health.
They also contain many hidden salts and sugars, which can promote hypertension and weight gain, which is dangerous for your health.
Donuts, sweets, pastries, chocolates… All foods made from white sugar are high in calories, so they promote weight gain when eaten daily. They can also generate a real addiction, therefore eating disorders.
Alcohol is responsible for many pathologies: addiction, fetal alcohol syndrome, heart failure, infarction, stroke, anxiety, dehydration… Public Health France therefore recommends limiting this consumption to two glasses a day, “and not every day”.
They are certainly not caloric, but a recent study has shown that light (or light) sodas that contain sweeteners are carcinogenic, and this from one can per day. It is therefore possible to consume it from time to time, but in moderation.
Contrary to what one might think, fruit juices are also to be consumed in moderation, because they contain a lot of sugar, which promotes weight gain.
