The facts took place during the night of Wednesday to Thursday at Portel, a dozen police officers were on hand to arrest the man, known to the police.
It was 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday August 17 when officers from the police and animal protection service Opale Capture arrived at a man’s home in Le Portel. They arrested him immediately. He allegedly killed his cat by slamming it against a wall. The little cat named Vachette was taken care of as quickly as possible by the agents of Opale Capture, but they were unable to save her.
The master of the cat was already well known to the police for facts related to narcotics. He is still in police custody according to information from BFM Grand Littoral.
A complaint was filed by the management of the Opale animal service on behalf of national animal protection associations.
