The arrival of Munchkin in Australia was constantly delayed by health problems, endless administrative procedures, quarantine measures and restrictions linked to the Covid-19 pandemic.
So many obstacles in the face of which Natasha Corbin and David Daynes never gave up, when they would have discouraged more than one. They were far too attached to the dog not to keep hoping and fighting, reported ABC News.
After Indonesia, Munchkin had passed through Singapore, then through New Zealand. In each country where she was in transit, the dog was placed with a foster family. Natasha Corbin and David Daynes had to organize all of this, and it was far from simple.
Their determination led them to settle in the country of the Kiwis to stay with their dog, while waiting to be able to introduce her to her new home on the Australian east coast.
Deliverance Before Christmas
End of 2021, David Daynes was with Munchkin in New Zealand and Natasha Corbin had returned to Australia for some time, studying the various possibilities of repatriation. The couple did not expect to find a solution until February 2022, but finally managed to find a charter flight in December.
Munchkin set foot on Australian soil just in time to celebrate Christmas in his new home, with his family, in Sunshine Coast in Queensland. In the meantime, the dog had become famous.
