The chef of L’Esberit in Bizanos received the Gault & Millau New-Aquitaine Terroir d’exception award on Monday.

It is a great reward that chef Nicolas Lormeau received on Monday at the municipal casino of Biarritz. The chef of L’Esberit has thus received the New Aquitaine “Terroir d’exception” award from Gault & Millau, a trophy that comes just a few months after receiving the “Young Talents 2021” award, again from Gault. & Millau.

This award highlights the work of the chef and his team to showcase local products as they should. It also rewards the work carried out since the opening of Lou Esberit in Pau six years ago, which was then succeeded by L’Esberit in Bizanos in 2021.

Other great names in gastronomy were also celebrated by the famous guide on the occasion of this day. Chef Philippe Etchebest thus received the “Gault & Millau d’Or” for the new restaurant he has just opened at Les Chartrons in Bordeaux. The chef of La Rotonde in Biarritz, Aurélien Largeau, meanwhile received the “Great of tomorrow” prize.
