Caring dog feeds stray cat after finding it in garden

This adorable little dog named Pudding has touched the hearts of millions, following the release of a video of him sharing his food with a cat living on the streets of eastern China’s Shandong province.

In footage captured by Ms Fu in a garden outside her home in Weifang on Thursday, her dog Pudding can be seen bringing a meatloaf to the hungry feline, and apparently trying to feed it.

The emotional moment touched millions of netizens who praised Pudding as a“charitable soul” according to the Daily Mail.

Dog shares food with homeless cat

Ms Fu told Chinese media The Paper:

“I was working downstairs that day when I heard our dog barking at the top of the stairs. When I looked up I saw him go to his doghouse to get his meatloaf, then he barked again. »

So Pudding took a meatloaf and put it in front of the little ginger cat who was resting by the garden steps. At first, the cat remained vigilant, before finally giving in to tasty temptation and taking a bite, but is then seen running away with the bun in its mouth.

Ms. Fu added:

“I thought the dog would try to grab the cat or fight with it when it bit the bun. I had no idea what I captured on camera was actually happening. »

In the video, Pudding is seen waving to the cat, wagging its tail and walking back and forth, as if encouraging the cat to pick up the food. It was then that the hungry animal cautiously stepped forward, picked up the meatloaf, and quickly ran upstairs with the food.

Ms Fu. said she was very touched by this moment, as Pudding is a watchdog and is usually very protective of her food.

She said :

“The cat was scared and didn’t want to come down the stairs, so our dog backed up and kept his distance, allowing the cat to approach. »

The video has already racked up millions of views on social media platforms after Ms Fu shared it on Douyin, China’s TikTok. Thousands of people have been touched by the action of this noble animal.
