Chez Henri, the best “homemade” burger in Brussels: “At home, it’s not Tricatel”

Henri, the owner of this urban counter opened a few years ago on Saint-Pierre square in Etterbeek, is delighted with this prize, especially since he did not even know this brotherhood. “They came to taste my burger without introducing themselves. Then they landed at my house yesterday giving me this award. They have a reading grid based on the number of fresh products and their quality. I didn’t believe it at first but, to finish 1st out of 33 burger restaurants in Brussels, it’s nice.”

The result of 100% homemade and 200% passionate work. Henri’s burger comes from Les Abattoirs. “100% fresh beef. With fresh red onions, arugula, Gouda melted by me, a homemade sauce based on mayonnaise, ketchup and a few ingredients of my choice, not to mention the bread whose dough comes from a Italian pizzeria and that I cook on the spot”. Tasty, generous, very greedy.

For 6 euros each, in three versions: Manhattan, Californian (chicken) and Cow-Boy (bacon and barbecue sauce).“What I like about this brotherhood is that they are attacking the false name “homemade”. At home, it’s not Trictatel, almost everything is homemade. The burger but also the meatballs , vol-au-vent, bolo, etc.”

Chez Henri is open every day of the week at lunchtime. Extension until 8 p.m. from Wednesday to Friday. It is located at 7 place Saint-Pierre in Etterbeek.
