Control of Carénage restaurants in Pointe-à-Pitre

This Tuesday, police officers from the DTPN of Guadeloupe carried out an operation to control restaurants located in Pointe-à-Pitre in collaboration with officials from DEAL, URSSAF and DAAF. This operation carried out within the framework of the GOLAF (Operational Group for the Fight against Fraud) focused mainly on compliance with hygiene rules and the administrative situation of these establishments.

Five catering establishments and their employees were checked. Several offenses, in particular on concealed work and non-compliance with the rules, have been observed by the police services. One establishment was immediately closed.

Seven offenses for concealed work were noted by the State services. Three restaurants are subject to an administrative closure if the injunction relating to compliance with the regulations was not respected. Employers and employees have been summoned and will have to explain themselves to the police.
