As part of MPG’s new summer season, offered by Provence Tourisme, the nomadic restaurant Ventrus with a view will take up residence in the park of the Château d’Avignon in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer all summer long. French chefs will take turns offering traditional and revisited local recipes.

I imagined my ideal restaurant. A restaurant where you eat well, where you drink well, and where every detail is part of a local and forward-looking approach. » What more could you ask of a restaurateur? An unusual touch! It is precisely there that the structure of Guillaume Chupeau stands out among the panel of beautiful local gastronomic offers.

Created in 2020, Ventrus with a view is an original concept of itinerant and locavore restaurant. Objective: to find the best regional spots to provide its customers with masterful views.

After a first stage in Paris, the mobile structure is preparing to land in the heart of the Camargue for the summer season as part of Marseille Provence Gastronomie. On the menu: local cuisine offered by a slew of renowned chefs.

A nomadic and “benevolent” restaurant

Each year, MPG redesigns itself on the territory, which becomes attractive thanks to our recipes and our emblematic traditions. », Presented last week Danielle Milon, President of Provence Tourisme and Mayor of Cassis. For this new edition, place for novelties, for the unpublished, but also for an eco-responsible approach.

In this area, Ventrus with a view serves as an example: the wood and glass restaurant, designed and built in France, is developing a benevolent approach to limit its impact in all places where it takes place. Waste recycling, water filtering, self-production of energy, local products… Everything is thought out to welcome chefs in the best possible conditions.

The ball of the chefs at the castle

Among them, the nomadic chef Emmanuel Perrodin and Numa Muller, in the kitchen at Madame Jeanne in Marseille, will open the summer ball in the park of the Château d’Avignon at Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.

Curious gourmets can also come and taste the recipes of Sébastien Cortez, Laetitia Visse, Sarah Chougnet-Strudel, Georgiana Viou, Valentin Small, Lili Gratzfeld and Kristi Armstrong. ” A large structure with fine cuisine sums up Guillaume Chupeau. The pop-up restaurant will be open from Wednesday to Sunday, lunchtimes and evenings. A gourmet experience to enjoy from June 22.
