The heat wave makes us want to tan, and diet can help achieve tanned skin this summer.
Some foods are rich in carotenoids! They therefore promote our tan and make our skin a little more tanned than if we only sunbathe occasionally. But which foods are affected? Fruits and vegetables are plentiful, although some spices also promote tanning. Attention, prolonged exposure to the sun is not recommended, especially during the heat wave. Protect yourself with sunscreen all over your body.
These vegetables that help tanning
Carrots, tomatoes, watermelon… Vegetables are good for your health, but not only that, they are also good for the skin. For example, the carrot is rich in carotenoids, pigments that promote the tan of our skin all year round and especially on holidays in the sun. Spinach is very high in lutein, one of the carotenoids known to promote tanning. Although it’s not our favorite food, you can get a good tan by consuming it once in a while.
These fruits that give us a tanned complexion
Apricots, cherries, strawberries… These fruits, which we like to find on sunny days, are also known to accelerate and enhance our tan. Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, strawberries are very good for our skin and for our tan from the first rays of the sun. Cherries are rich in vitamin C and are therefore excellent for boosting our tan on sunny days.
