Johnny Depp’s lawyers come out of silence for the first time

The actor’s lawyers are publicly congratulating themselves for the first time on what they consider to be a victory for their client over his ex-wife Amber Heard.

Since the start of the trial between the two Hollywood stars Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, the spotlight has been on other “actors”: their lawyers. Those of Johnny Depp, Camille Vasquez and Benjamin Chew have become the darling of celebrities after the verdict. They recently gave their feelings following the end of the case in court.

Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard were suing each other for defamation in court in Fairfax, Virginia (USA) after the actress spoke in an op-ed domestic violence that she would have suffered from the father of Jack and Lily-Rose. At the end of the trial, Amber Heard was found guilty by the jurors (five men and two women) of defamation with malicious intent. The actress had to pay 15 million dollars to Johnny Depp, a sum which was lowered to 10.35 million dollars after rectification. Johnny Depp must for his part yield $ 2 million to Amber Heard.

The actor welcomed this awardin a long message of thanks, in which he notably quotes his lawyers, Benjamin Chew and Camille Vasquez, who are in the process of becoming real stars.

Lawyers delighted with this “victory”

The two lawyers have moreover broke the silence for the first time since the end of the trial. “We obviously can’t disclose attorney-client communications, but as Mr. Depp testified… That was never a question. silver for him” assured Benjamin Chew on the set of Good Morning America,an ABC morning show.

He pursues : “It was about restoring his reputation, and he did. It was a total victory for Johnny”. The jury reached a unanimous decision based on these facts.”
