Direction Martinique for the continuation of the trial of Maître Patrice Tacita. The lawyer Pointois is prosecuted for tax and social fraud. In 2018, Patrice Tacita was the subject of an accounting audit by the tax authorities. As required by the procedure, the control covers the last three years, from 2015 to 2017. Controls which will initially give rise to substantial rectifications, more than 500,000 euros and the filing of a complaint for tax evasion with of the Pointe-à-Pitre public prosecutor’s office.
The investigations will, this time, cover the period from 2013 to 2019 and they will reveal practices that are curious to say the least. Thus, Patrice Tacita is accused of having fraudulently evaded the establishment and payment of income tax, VAT, corporate property tax, housing tax, property tax , for seven consecutive years.

The investigations will also bring to light a social fraud committed between November 12, 2018 and December 31, 2019. Patrice Tacita is accused of having “unduly withheld in his possession, the prepaid contribution of his employees to social insurance “.
As a reminder, in this trial, Maître Patrice Tacita plays big. The lawyer could be suspended from the bar.
Indeed, the public prosecutor of Fort-de-France requested an 18-month suspended prison sentence, a 5-year ban on practicing, the confiscation of his house and the payment of rights and penalties due to the Public Treasury.
