A figure from La Baule has left us. Gérard Gasc, former owner of the restaurant Le Pavillon rosedied Friday, April 29 at the age of 76.

“A wonderful, discreet and warm man”

“Originally from the South West, he was one of those who tirelessly entertained the evenings of our seaside town from 1976 to 2000. Even if he had been on the sidelines for some time, many will remember him when he owned the famous Bauloise brasserie from 1926 located at 44 avenue de Gaulle, which he had managed to raise to the rank of an institution, ”wrote the mayor Franck Louvrier on his Facebook page.

“He was a wonderful man, discreet and warm, always ready to help. I spent my best professional years with him”, also testifies Alain Georges, who was one of his servers at “Pav” (now “Chez Cocoche”).

Gérard Gasc’s funeral was celebrated on Thursday May 5 at the Notre-Dame de La Baule church.
