Lost in 2020, the cat found eating croquettes at the hypermarket in Côtes d’Armor

The Django cat had packed up in July 2020. He has just been found feasting in the reserve of a hypermarket less than 10 km from his home! On Tuesday May 31, 2022, the feline indeed caught in the Leclerc de Saint-Brandan reserve (Côtes-d’Armor), south of Saint-Brieuc. The store team had installed a trapdoor cage there, not understanding why packets of Curly ® croquettes and aperitif cakes had been gradually emptying for a week…

The greedy feline captured, it is entrusted to a veterinarian. Who manages to identify it thanks to the microchip implanted on the animal. I received a phone call on Tuesday, telling me that my Django had been found and that I could pick it up. There was a big blank on the phone, I didn’t understand, rewinds Aurélie Etiemble, owner of the cat.

“We never thought we’d see him again”

A huge and beautiful surprise for this resident of the town of Foeil, who had mourned her animal. Almost two years ago, he ran away from us because a dog scared him. We didn’t think we’d see him again, and it makes us laugh to know that he was found eating croquettes…

After spending 23 months navigating the industry, Django is in good shape. He was just really dirty, and the flea collar they’d put on him just before he disappeared, when he was nine months old, had gotten a little too tight. The vet had to cut it, explains Aurélie Etiemble.

Since Tuesday, the greedy feline has quickly found its marks at home. And no longer need to pilfer kibbles in the reserve of a hypermarket…
