With the fantasy that characterizes him, and the know-how of a chef, Sylvère Fourcarde opens his catering shop in Barbatre, on theNoirmoutier Island. He was in the kitchen for political or show biz celebrities, who were regulars in a famous Bordeaux restaurant, La Tupina, where Sylvère worked as a chef. His schedules are different from what he has known throughout his career in the restaurant business, “from 8 p.m., I no longer work, it makes me very funny! » New timetables adapted to the needs of holidaymakers have replaced those practiced by Sylvère for many years in the restaurant business. “The schedules are adapted for holidaymakers, especially from 5 p.m., for returns from the beach”. There are dishes prepared by this former chef, who according to his mood and his desires will make you savor a dish of the day, or any other homemade dish, such as smoked salmon, vegetable terrines or calf’s head. In the sweet range, cannelets, macaroons and meringues are also planned. “Something to improvise a last-minute meal, or an aperitif with family or friends. »
“We have a family home”
He chose to open a shop in Barbâtre because he has been coming there since his childhood. “We have a family home. Previously there was a butcher’s shop, since then nothing. No caterer existing here, this kind of shop was lacking for those who do not want to cook at home. This is my new challenge. »
