Perpignan: brunch and classical music on the menu at L’Atmosphere

An original initiative offered one Sunday a month by the cultural bar on Place Rigaud, which has been open for two years.

With its terrace overlooking Place Rigaud, which opened just before the pandemic, the cultural restaurant and bar L’Atmosphere is bursting with original ideas. Eclectic concerts organized every week, literary meetings, karaoke evenings or even general knowledge quizzes every Tuesday evening, this temple of conviviality is launching a brunch formula from this month of June followed by a classical music concert.

A monthly Sunday meeting with a recital program of harpsichord and harp or guitar flute duo for a repertoire ranging from medieval to contemporary music while favoring small groups. The first date scheduled for June 26 from 11 a.m. (price 15 euros) will give pride of place to Brazilian composers (Villa-Lobos…).

A cultural rendezvous, unusual for a city like Perpignan, spun off from the imagination of Joël Pons, professor of baroque cello at the conservatory and resident of this district in full mutation with a view to the pedestrianization of the square and at the same time as the end of the work of the Labor Exchange.

Note that the Atmosphere also shares its premises with the associative and anti-waste canteen Yum, which offers every lunchtime from Tuesday to Saturday an entirely organic and vegetarian starter-main course-dessert menu for a free price set between 2 and 10 euros, all in a world music atmosphere and without fuss.
