Nicolas St-Pierre, General Manager of the Mira Foundation is enthusiastic about the project. This competition will aim to raise funds to finance the training of two service dogs. The initial objective was to accumulate $60,000, but Mr. St-Pierre points out that the fundraiser has raised more than $100,000 so far.

“This is unheard of in the context of a CrossFit competition for the benefit of an organization. […] In addition to giving Mira a hand, the event contributes directly to promoting this unique sport, which deserves to be better known,” explained Marilyne Bonenfant, co-owner of Stricken Saint-Hilaire.

The event will take place directly at the head office of the Mira Foundation located at 1820 rang Nord-Ouest in Sainte-Marie-Madeleine.

Everything will take place between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The general public wishing to attend the competition, which will be hosted by sports columnist Greg Lanctot, will be able to do so for free.
