The cat bar, the Boule depoils, has opened its doors in Bourges

Why settle for just enjoying a fruit juice when you can do it surrounded by cats? This is the idea that Joanna Zimnowoda had, a few years ago, after discovering the concept of a cat bar in Bordeaux.

Cats offered for adoption

The felines present are currently four in number. Apart from Sushi, the manager’s cat, all are up for adoption. “They come from the Espoir Félin association,” details Joanna Zimnowoda. Pan, Noa, both one year old, as well as Fleurine, seven years old, can therefore be adopted. “Normally a new ginger cat should arrive this week and another kitty in two to three weeks, announces the manager. The cats stay here until adoption. »

Fleurine, 7, is up for adoption.

This project was really close to heart Joanna Zimnowoda who “loves cats”. It also attaches great importance to the quality of the products it offers to customers. “These are homemade cakes and snacks. There are also homemade and local lemonades and fruit juices,” she says.

Customers can enjoy their cakes and drinks alongside cats who are often sleeping peacefully.

His business seems to be going at full speed because, after only a few minutes of opening, the bar was already full, to the delight of the owner. If some were already familiar with the concept, other customers are discovering it completely. “It’s the first time I’ve heard of a cat bar,” admits Fanny, one of the first clients of the Hairball. But I think it’s a great idea. “It’s cosy, it’s clean and there’s plenty to choose from. Cats are not too shy, we can pet them, continue Céline and Floris. It makes you want to come back. »

The establishment is open Tuesday from 2:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday to Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
