The 100% plant-based street food now has its address in Toulouse. On Saturday June 4, 2022, the La Mifa restaurant opened its doors on Place Olivier, in the heart of the Saint-Cyprien district.
“A restaurant that looks like us”
At the helm of this new establishment, we find Mael Couloumat and Jade Armengaud, which is already delighting the taste buds of pro-plant and vegan cuisine in the Colombette district with the cool bistronomic address Bloomy. “La Mifa is a restaurant that looks like us, a place of friends, of sharing, where you feel at home”, explains Jade, who personally stopped eating meat in 2013.
Break down prejudices
Maël wants to “break down the prejudices around plant-based cuisine. We had to create dishes that could be shared, that we took from the other’s plate”. The brand is supplied with local products less than 200 km around the Pink City, within the framework of the short circuit. The objective of the vegetable brand is clear: “Create and offer original dishes in tune with the times. Our challenge is to sublimate the plant to bring out the best while remaining street food”.
A strawberry financier… and CBD!
Alongside its organic or biodynamic wine list, the Mifa offers naans to share, tacos, gyoza pasta, marinated seitan, hot dogs/chips. In terms of pastry, the new address in Saint-Cyprien concocts a strawberry financier… and CBD!
On the price side, count for example 12 euros for the dish of the day at lunchtime, and 8 to 14 euros for dishes to share in the evening. Finally, the Mifa has set itself another ambitious objective: strive as much as possible towards zero waste.
The Mifa. 11, place Olivier, in Toulouse. Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Reservation on 05 61 43 71 17.
