“We miss you Toinou”: Yannick Alléno’s heartbreaking tribute to his son, Antoine

Friday May 20, 2022, Yannick Alléno, who recently lost his 24-year-old son Antoine, shared a moving photo on social networks. The father who is inconsolable wants justice to be done.

On Sunday May 8, Yannick Alléno’s life fell apart. The three-star chef in the Michelin Guide lost his son, Antoine. The 24-year-old chef who had just opened a restaurant with his father was fatally hit by a car as he had just left his workplace. The driver, a 44-year-old man who was already known to the police, was drunk at the time.

A few days after his death, Yannick Alléno went to his son’s funeral. He then had shared his sadness stating: “If one day I had thought of the worst nightmare, it wouldn’t have been that one…“. Very active on social networks, the 53-year-old cook then had published many photoss of his son and had at the same time announced the creation of the association “Antoine Alleno” to support “victims of repeat offenders“.

Yannick Alléno pays tribute to his son with a last photo

Friday, May 20, the father of Antoine and Thomas Alléno shared a magnificent photo on his Instagram account. In the picture taken many years before, Antoine, still very young, holds a bottle of wine in his hand. He is surrounded by his father and several of his friends. In the caption, he wrote: “I promise you ! It’s the last ! But this one, I can’t help but share it with you! We know where his taste for life came from! We miss you Toinou! We love you“.

Faced with this last publication of his son, several subscribers of Yannick Alléno, including chefs, expressed their support and their desire to see more photos of the young man. “Do not prevent yourself from sharing these beautiful photos of Antoine“, “It doesn’t have to be the last“, “Continue to share these beautiful moments of life, if it makes you feel good” can we read for example in the comments. A great wave of support which should probably bring some comfort to the bereaved father.
