At the start of the 12th stage of the Tour de France, Yves Lampaert was quite scared! The first yellow jersey of the Tour has indeed had a good fall. Ahead of the peloton, the rider of the Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl fell violently to the ground… because of a dog! Or rather because of their masters who let slip the animal which unbalanced the Belgian while the latter tried to avoid it.
On social networks, Yves Lampaert did not pray to warn viewers: “Fall because of a dog in the peloton. After having already said it several times, please keep your dog in the home.”
Several riders were dragged into this fall like Steven Kruijswijk of the Jumbo Visma. For his part, the Belgian was grated in the right thigh but still managed to finish the stage which saw Tom Pidcock triumph at the top of Alpe d’Huez.
